Sonoma County parents struggling to find ways to pay for their children’s college education can get solutions to their college funding problems by attending a workshop on financial planning Aug. 9 at the Flamingo Hotel and Spa in Santa Rosa.

Gary Liess, a college funding advisor, will be teaching a free educational College Financial Planning Workshop for the parents of high school sophomores, junior and seniors.  Learn how to pay for college in today’s economy without relying on 529 plans, expensive private student loans or raiding retirement accounts. 

Learn how to apply for every grant, low-interest loan and need-based scholarship your child may be eligible to receive.  These are just a few of the topics that will be discussed.
