| SSU softball coach takes job with Div. I school |
After taking the Seawolves to the NCAA Tournament twice in her four seasons with the team, Sonoma State softball head coach Jaime Wallin has resigned to assume head softball coaching duties at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Wallin took the Seawolves to the NCAA Tournament in 2007 and 2009, and the team’s 36-25 record in 2009 was its best since 1997. Her cumulative record as head coach at Sonoma State was 105-129.
Lafeyette College is an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Patriot League. A national search for Wallin’s replacement will begin soon, said SSU.
